Thanks to Everyone!

Thanks to everyone who came to the party! My parents had a fantastic time and I have never seen them look happier. It is very rare for a couple to reach their 50th wedding anniversary. I am so pleased that we were able to celebrate it in the way my parents wanted with friends and family there!

The Countdown is On...Two Weeks Until Party!

My parents are so excited to celebrate 50 years together with the family and friends that are important to them. This event will include an open bar and buffet-style appetizers. My Mom says, "Be sure to bring your dancing shoes!" No gifts, please! Your company is the gift my parents are happiest to receive.



To gain entry to the base you will be required to enter through a secured checkpoint, wither the North or South Entry Gate. When you arrive, present your photo ID to the guard and tell them that you are a guest arriving for the Young Anniversary Party at The Desert Star. The Guard will provide directions. Your name on the guest list must match the name on the ID you provide; if you think it is possible that I may have your name listed incorrectly, please contact me before October 18th at nicole.easton@live.com.

Below is a map of Luke AFB. To get to the base, take Litchfield Road, exit 128, north from Interstate 10 (west of Phoenix), or from Loop 101, head west on Glendale Avenue. Luke is at the intersection of Glendale Avenue and Litchfield Road. Turn left to get to the South Gate and Visitor's Center.

October is Upon Us!

So here we are...finalizing all the details and getting ready to see you all there! Please remember: no gifts allowed! My parents only want to enjoy your company for the evening!

The invitations have been sent & here it is!!! We are looking forward to seeing all of you! Please be sure to call me to RSVP so I can ensure your name is on the access list for Luke Air Force Base!

Update!

The invitations arrived this week and will be mailed to all in July to ensure that our out-of-town guests have enough time to schedule their travel.

Anniversary Party Update

We have made some food,drink, and decorating decisions, but, most importantly, we have made most of the music choices!

We will have an open bar, appetizers served buffet style and will have pictures of Mary & Floyd throughout their 50 married years on every table.

It's Official!!!

It is official! The deposits have been paid and the invitations have been ordered!!! We are thinking lemon for the cake...sounds delicious, like I'd like some right now!

More Confirmations

It was confirmed on Friday that we will have the same DJ that we had for Pete and my wedding. We will have an open bar, appetizer snacks and, of course, cake!

Date Confirmed!

Hello!

We have confirmed that the anniversary party will be on Saturday, October 24th at 7:00 PM in the Desert Star on Luke AFB. The address is 161 West Eagle St, Glendale, AZ 85309.

You must enter through the South Gate security checkpoint which is on Litchfield Road between Glendale and Camnelback. You will need a photo ID to be allowed on base.

Directions are available through the link at the bottom of the page; just be aware that the mapping software may want to send you through the North Gate security checkpoint so you may have to adjust your route just a bit.

Preliminary Preparation

Hi, everyone!

This is a preliminary posting as we are just starting to plan for my parents 50th anniversary party. It will be on a Saturday evening this October at Luke AFB (the same place where Pete and I got married).

We are trying to coordinate the schedule to coincide with my 20th high school reunion, which I have been told is tenatively scheduled for Saturday, October 10th.

I will keep all of you posted with details as the plans are confirmed.
